Mouse Test
Move, click and scroll inside the test area. Each button lights up on the diagram, clicks are counted, and movement is drawn so you can spot skipping or jitter.

Move, click or scroll inside the test area
The right-click menu is disabled inside the test area. Side buttons only register in browsers that report them.
Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
How to use
- Move the pointer around inside the test area and watch the trail. It should follow smoothly without jumps.
- Click each button: left, right and middle. The matching part of the mouse diagram lights up and its count goes up. Side buttons register where the browser allows.
- Double-click to check that two clicks are recognized as one double-click.
- Scroll the wheel up and down and, on a trackpad, sideways. The wheel on the diagram lights up and each direction is counted.
- Press Reset to clear the counts and the trail, then test again.
What this test can detect
- A button that does not register or registers twice per click.
- A scroll wheel that skips, reverses or scrolls in steps that are too large.
- Pointer skipping or jitter that suggests a dirty sensor or a bad surface.
- Double-clicks that are being missed, or single clicks that register as double.
Important
- The right-click menu is blocked inside the test area so that right clicks register. Elsewhere on the page it works normally.
- Side and extra buttons are only reported by some browsers, and gaming mice with more than five buttons may map them to keys instead.
- Polling rate, DPI and acceleration are not measured here.
