Touchscreen Test
Drag your finger over the grid to paint every cell. Cells that never fill mark areas where the touchscreen does not respond, and the counter shows how many fingers the browser reports at once.

Works with a mouse too, which is handy for trying it out but does not test touch hardware. Edge strips reserved by the operating system may not paint.
Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
How to use
- Press Start test to fill the screen with the grid.
- Drag a finger slowly over the whole screen, including the edges and corners, until every cell is filled.
- Place several fingers on the screen at once to see how many touches are tracked.
- Press Reset to clear and try again, or Exit when done.
What this test can detect
- Dead zones where touches are not registered.
- Ghost touches that appear without contact.
- How many simultaneous touches the browser reports, which shows the multi-touch limit of the screen and browser together.
- Edge areas that are ignored by the digitizer.
Important
- Some operating systems reserve gestures at the very edges of the screen for navigation. Those strips may not paint even on a working screen.
- A screen protector, moisture or a damaged cable can cause missed touches. Clean and dry the screen first.
- On a computer without a touchscreen the test responds to the mouse, which is useful for trying it out but does not test touch hardware.
- The touch count is what the browser reports. Some browsers and operating systems track fewer simultaneous touches than the screen hardware can, and a very fast swipe can skip cells that a slower pass fills.
